My name is Dr. Robert M. (Bob) Hunter.  I was diagnosed with celiac disease in July 2008.  I was 60 years old at the time.  In January 2009, I was diagnosed with gluten ataxia.

I am a registered patent agent with over 26 years of experience in intellectual property management. Through my Internet-based practice (WebPatent.com) based on the Big Island of Hawaii, I prepare, file and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications for independent inventors and innovating organizations all over the world.  Before becoming a registered patent agent, I served as principal investigator on ten Phase I and six Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) projects. I am listed as an inventor on over 30 patents produced by those projects, of which 18 have been licensed or sold. I also assists the state’s High Technology Development Corporation (HTDC) increase the competitiveness of Hawaii businesses in SBIR and STTR programs.<p>
